The leadership of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has declared a two-day nationwide mass protest for February 27 and 28 following the worsening economic hardship in the country.
NLC President, Joe Ajaero, stated this during an emergency National Executive Council meeting on the state of the economy and matters related to insecurity in the country, in Abuja on Friday.
Recall that the NLC and the Trade Union Congress, TUC, had on February 9, issued a 14-day ultimatum to the Federal Government to implement agreements ranging from wage increments to improve access to public utilities.
However, the Congress has accused the FG to have failed to uphold pledges to soften the impact of reforms.
