Ghana's High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr. Rashid Bawa during an interview in Abuja disclosed that the two West African giants, Nigeria and Ghana have moved to delve into new areas of business opportunities, which will also boost the economy and also strengthen the relationship of both countries.
While receiving a Ghanaian delegation from the Secondi-Takoradi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (STCCI), Bawa noted that the delegation was in Abuja to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), following their visit to the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
During the meeting in Lagos, the STCCI and the eSilkroad Network Limited signed an MoU which will help promote networking among the bodies. The MoU will also introduce Ghana to a plethora of opportunities to compare businesses as well as flexibility to make business deals with any company under the platform.
Mr. Michael Konow, Deputy Director, Head of International Projects and Partnerships, Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, Germany, explained that the organization was working with the STCCI to learn from experiences of Nigerian chambers of commerce.
He added that the delegation would also explore business opportunities in Nigeria.
