President Buhari Cancel Zamfara Trip Due To Bad Weather

President Muhammadu Buhari has today canceled his scheduled trip to Zamfara citing bad weather conditions as the reason.
Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle made the disclosure via his official Twitter handle today, saying the President who was expected to leave Sokoto via Air Force Helicopter to Zamfara has postponed the trip due to poor weather visibility. 

 

Matawalle said, “Mr. President has spoken to me and asked me to convey his apologies to the good people of the state.

Mr. President said he would reschedule the visit to the state next week and the fixed date would be communicated to us in due course, He explained, “Some of the security chiefs are currently in Katsina but can’t fly to Zamfara for the same reason.

Based on this, we are extending our apology to the good people of the state for the postponement for reason beyond our control. We thank Mr. President for his love for the state. 


Earlier today, President Buhari commissioned a three million metric tonnes cement factory plant belonging to BUA Group of Company in Sokoto. 

In the company of president Buhari was the Governor of Sokoto state, Rt Hon, Aminu Tambuwal; Chairman of BUA Group of Companies, Abdulsamad Isiaka Rabiu; the Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emifele, the Chairman MaxAir, Dahiru Mangal, amongst others.
