The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief John Odigie Oyegun, has brushed aside the statement credited to Ekiti state Governor, Ayodele Fayose, on the health of President Muhammadu Buhari, saying the governor lacks credibility.

Chief Oyegun who stated this on Thursday morning during an interview with Maupe Ogun, on Channels Television Sunrise Daily, was reacting to a statement by Fayose that the President was on life support.

Fayose had on Wednesday while making the statement, challenged anyone who doubt him, to produce the president in 48 hours.

Oyegun called on Nigerians to disregard Fayose's statement saying: "That governor of Ekiti state, when he talks, you just discount it."

The APC leader assured that reports from the doctors are very positive. He said: “We are not his doctor, but reports coming in are good."

He added that, “He (the President) has strongly recovered and it is good news."

“Reports are good," he concluded.
