All Progressives Congress (APC) Senator representing Rivers South-East Senatorial District, Magnus Abe has taken a swipe at the leader of the party in the state, and the Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi.

Sen. Abe said Rivers state is not a conquered territory that should belong to an individual or group of people. He maintained that no one should assume the position of a God in the state by attempting to take binding decisions.

The Senator stated this on Thursday when he visited the former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Prince Chibudom Nwuche, at his country- home in Ula-Upata in Ahoada-West Local Government Area of the state.

“Let me make it abundantly clear that we are in this state, nobody has conquered Rivers State; this is not a conquered territory. The Rivers people I know are the same people who have stood against oppression when it mattered most.

“It is not new that we are fighting for the future of our state; our fathers did it before us.

“They confronted stronger powers than the ones we are confronting today and they established the fact that this is a land of free people.”

Senator Abe insisted that there must be equity, justice and fairness in the determination of the affairs of the party.
