The All Progressives Congress on Thursday commiserated with President Muhammadu Buhari over the involvement of his son, Yusuf Buhari in a ghastly motorbike accident.

The party in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi prayed God to grant him speedy recovery. The statement read in part

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the first family following injuries sustained by Yusuf, the son of President Muhammadu Buhari in a motorbike accident.

“The APC family is relieved that accident was not fatal. We pray Yusuf makes a speedy and full recovery,” it added.

Recall that the Presidency on Wednesday confirmed the involvement of Yusuf in a ghastly motorbike accident around Gwarimpa, Abuja. In a statement issued by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, the Presidency said Yusuf suffered a broken limb and also sustained an injury on the head.

It, however, debunked reports that Yusuf had been flown abroad for medical treatment.

Meanwhile, the Wife of the President, Aisha Buhari has been placed on bed rest at Cedarcrest Hospital, the same facility where Yusuf is currently receiving treatment.

Dignitaries including the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and some Ministers have all visited Yusuf.
