The Federal High Court, today sitting in Lagos, has ordered the final forfeiture of the sums of $43,449,947, £27,800 and N23,218,000 recovered by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission from an apartment in Osborne Towers, Ikoyi
In a ruling this morning by Justice Muslim Hassan, the court ordered that the funds be forfeited to the Federal Government.

It would be recalled that the EFCC on April 12, stormed a residential apartment on Osborne Road, Ikoyi, where huge amounts of foreign and local currencies were recovered.

The Commission subsequently approached the courts for anyone to show cause why the money should not be permanently forfeited to the Federal Government.
