The Nigerian House of Representatives is to constitute committee to investigate the continuous security lapses as well as non-secure of the release of over 100 Chibok girls being held by the insurgents Boko Haram. The resolution followed the adoption of a motion calling for renew efforts to free the school girls and other Nigerians in captivity.
The motion was part of the commemoration of the 4th year of Chibok incident in which over 260 innocent girls were abducted after a Boko Haram attacks on their school in North East Nigerian State of Borno.
Presenting the motion, Asabe Vilita Bashir, a Member representing Chibok, at the House of Representatives, stressed the need for collaboration between the public and the security agencies as well as between the executive and legislative arms to ensure the speedy and safely return of all in captivity.
Members were unanimous on the need to strategies efforts in overhauling the security agencies for efficiency and service delivery.
