The Rivers State governorship election petitions tribunal on Monday dismissed the petition filed by the African Action Congress (AAC) and its governorship candidate, Biokpomabo Awara, challenging the victory of Governor Nyesom Wike of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
The three-man panel led by Justice J.A Ojaiko dismissed the petition on technical grounds. The tribunal held that both the first and second petitioners abandoned their petitions.
The tribunal also dismissed all applications filed on behalf of the AAC by Awara.
