Buhari Welcomes Emir of Qatar Today

President Muhammadu Buhari will today, 23rd April 2019 receive the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. Presidential aide, Garba Shehu confirmed the visit of the oil-rich country’s emir. The emir is coming three years after President Buhari visited Doha, the Qatari capital in February 2016, where he attended a meeting of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).

President Buhari Commiserate With Christians On Easter

President Muhammadu Buhari has decried the worsening cases of killings, kidnappings, and violence being witnessed in some states of the country. He described them as “tragic incidents.” The disclosure was made in his 2019 Easter message to the Nation and made available to the press.

Easter: FG Declares 19th And 22nd April As Public Holidays

The Federal Government has declared public holidays for Friday, April 19 and Monday, April 22, to mark the 2019 Easter celebration. In a statement released by the Ministry of Interior and made available to the news agency, the Permanent Secretary in the ministry Mrs. Georgina Ehuriah announced the holiday quoting the minister on Wednesday in Abuja.

Owo Commences Traditional Burial Rites For Late Monarch

Owo, an ancient city in Ondo State, wore a mournful look on Thursday following the demise of its traditional ruler, Oba Folagbade Olateru-Olagbegi, who passed on at 77. From findings, it was noted that people were seen discussing the development in groups in some strategic locations of the town.

Dignitaries were on Sunday at the Thanksgiving Service for President Muhammadu Buhari/Osinbajo’s victory organised by the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo. The interdenominational Service which was graced by Lagos State Governor, Akinwumi Ambode and his Oyo State counterpart, Abiodun Ajimobi was held at Obafemi Awolowo Square in Osinbajo’s hometown, Ikenne, Ogun State.
