The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has suspended a popular news company in Nigeria, Channels TV with a fine of N5 million for inviting and interviewing a leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). The commission in a letter signed by the Acting Director-General, Armstrong Idachaba said the news agency breached a broadcast code by airing an interview with a leader of IPOB, allowing the group to make secessionist and inciting statements without caution.

The Chairman Senate Committee on Army, Senator Ali Ndume has called on Federal Government to publish the names of the 400 Bureau De Change (BDC) operators alleged as sponsors of Boko Haram in Nigeria.
