India's Shi'ite Group To Bear The Medical Bills Of El-Zak-Zaky

Emerging report has it that,an Indian-based Muslim group, Anjuman e-Haideri, has offered to bear the full medical cost of treating the 66 years old leader of the proscribed Islamic Movement in Nigeria, (IMN), Sheikh IbraheemYakubEl-Zakzaky and his wife, Zeenat. The two are said to be suffering from Ischaemic heart disease, chronic hypertension, right eye severe visual impairment with progressive open glaucoma, mental toxicity and lead poisoning.

It can be recalled that on 12th August 2019, El-Zakzaky and his wife were flown out of Nigeria to India for treatment of multiple deteriorating health conditions. The development was based on a bail granted to the duo by a Kaduna state high court with the condition of returning back to the country to continue with their trail.

Vigil360 learnt through a letter dated August 12, 2019, signed by the General Secretary of the group, Mr BahadurNaqvi, and addressed to the Managing Director and Chief Surgeon of Medanta Hospital India, Dr NareshTrehanpromising to foot all the medical costs incurred by El-Zakzaky and his wife throughout their stay in India.

The letter by Anjuman e-Haideri Islamic group reads in part Maulana Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, who is a prominent Shi’a Muslim leader having a large following worldwide, will be treated in your hospital.The Executive Committee of Anjuman e-HaideriJorBagh, New Delhi, by the direction of our Chief Patron, Maulana Kalbe JawadNaqvi, has decided unanimously to bear all the medical costs incurred in India for his treatment. Kindly consider our request, do the needful and oblige.”
