Billionaires Micro Soft founder, Bill Gates and Investment guru, Warren Buffett, have encouraged fourteen more billionaires from around the globe to join their foundation, the Giving Pledge the foundation have announced.
The fourteen individuals and couples from Australia, China, Cyprus, Monaco, Norway, Slovenia, Tanzania, and the United States, have agreed to contribute part of their wealth towards finding solutions to some of humanity’s most pressing challenges in areas such as poverty alleviation, medical and healthcare intervention, agriculture, education environmental protection.
In a statement, Melinda Gates, co-chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, said: “Bill and Warren and I are excited to welcome the new, very international group of philanthropists joining the Giving Pledge, and we look forward to learning from their diverse experiences.”
