President Muhammadu Buhari has in the last two days presented the year 2020 budget of N10.3trn to the joint session of the National Assembly. Accordingly, two days after a lengthy debate on the said budget, the House of Representatives has passed it for second reading.
The bill was comprehensively debated on by members of the House for two days straight, and when it was put to vote by the Presiding officer, Idris Wase, the “ayes” had it.
Subsequently, the Deputy Speaker referred the bill to the committee on Appropriation and other relevant standing committees of the House to commence detailed consideration of the document.
