Aisha Buhari, the wife of the president has applauded health workers especially those on the frontline in the fight against the COVID-19 global pandemic.
Aisha, alongside wives of some governors, commended the frontline health workers in a video.
As we celebrate this year's workers day, we have come together from different parts of the country to put our hands together and clap for all the frontline health care workers responding to the covid 19 pandemic, who have put their lives on the line on behalf of our dear nation pic.twitter.com/vSVdx5cdxL

The video also has the wife of the vice President, Dolapo Yemi Osinbajo celebrating workers in commemoration of the workers day.
Aisha Buhari on her verified Twitter handle wrote;
“As we celebrate this year’s Workers Day, we have come together from different parts of the country to put our hands together and clap for all the frontline healthcare workers responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, who have put their lives on the line on behalf of our dear nation.”
This came as on Thursday the Nigerian government assured workers that it will ensure that none of their jobs is put at stake.
The Minister of Labour, Dr Chris Ngige, during his May Day speech signed by his spokesman, promised that the federal government would look at the four-pillar plan of policy responses to the pandemic laid out by the International Labour Organisation (ILO).
The minister added that all factors that would guarantee job retention would be revisited.
