9Mobile Admits Network Outage, Apologises to Subscribers

Telecoms provider, 9Mobile, managed by Emerging Markets Telecommunication Services Limited (EMTS), has apologised for the nationwide disruption of its services which began on Wednesday. In a statement issued on August 23 by Ibrahim Dikko, 9mobile’s VP Regulatory and Corporate Services, the company disclosed that it encountered a network outage in one of its data centres which cause the service disruption.

The statement expressed the company’s concern over difficulty experienced by subscribers with voice, SMS and data services due to the technical.

It however assured that its technical team was working to resolve the issue “within the shortest possible time.”

The company also apologised to its customers for the inconveniences.

“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused our subscribers and we thank them for their patience and understanding,” the statement concluded.
