Apple Inc is set to launch its new iPhone and other devices today, introducing a number of upgrades and a reduction in pricing, at the Steve Jobs Theatre, Silicon Valley, California.

The much-anticipated release of iPhone 11 will come in three new models, with upgraded processors, new camera functionality and the Apple Tv.

The company is also expected to show off its new iOS 13 software.

This could likely lead to 180 to 200 million iPhones sold in the next year, from about 60 to 70 million customers upgrading their current devices for a better version.

“These old phones would be candidates for upgrade and we continue to look at fiscal 2020 as a ‘Trade-in’ iPhone cycle versus 2021 which should be a 5G-driven cycle,” Bank of America analysts said.

They’ve been speculations that this may be Apple’s first iPhone 11 Pro or XI Pro, or iPhone 11 or iPhone 11R for the max model and cheaper model.

Other products including a modernised iPad Pro, a new version of Apple Watch, Mac Book Pro and Airpod may be unveiled.
