Samsung has unveiled the world’s largest solid state drive which boasts of a whopping 30.72 terabytes of storage. It’s the most storage ever crammed into the 2.5-inch form factor, and is designed for enterprise customers looking to move away from the mechanical parts of your standard disk-based hard drive.

According to Chief Executive Officer, Uber Technologies Inc, Dara Khosrowshahi, the commercialization of the Uber Air flying taxi service could happen within the next five to 10 years, he predicted.

Khosrowshahi made the disclosure on Tuesday, while speaking at an investor forum in Tokyo on his first visit to Asia as Uber CEO.

Facebook in an unusual turn of events has been fined up to 100 million euros ($125 million) after a Belgian court threatened it of persistently breaking privacy laws by tracking people on third party websites.

In a case brought by Belgium’s privacy watchdog, the court also ruled on Friday that Facebook had to delete all data it had gathered illegally on Belgian citizens, including persons who were not Facebook users themselves.

Microsoft is ending support for mobile push notifications on its Windows Phone 7 and 8 software by February 20th. Devices on Windows Phone 7.5 and 8.0 will no longer receive notifications, according to The Verge. They will also lose the useful live tile updates that displayed information at a glance, and users will no longer be able to locate devices with the “find my phone” feature.

Just as it promised it would three years ago, Rolls Royce is set to reveal its all new high sided SUV, which it revealed will be called "cullinan" coined, named after the largest diamond ever discovered.

The hatchback off-road vehicle has been called "project cullinan" since its development was first announced. But a recent release was the first confirmation that the car's name had apparently been hiding in plain sight.

"It is the most fitting name for our extraordinary new product," said Torsten Muller-Otvos, Chief Executive Officer of Rolls Royce.

A study published in the Chicago-based journal Astrophysical Journal Letters, says the Sun might be unusually cool by 2050, according to a new study.

Based on the cooling spiral of recent solar cycles, scientists from University of California, San Diego believe the next “grand-minimum” is just decades away, during which the Sun will be seven per cent cooler.

A grand-minimum, according to the study, is a period of very low solar activity, which will lead to lower temperature on earth.

During the grand-minimum in the mid-17th century, named Maunder Minimum, the temperature dropped low enough to freeze the Thames River.
