Cambridge Analytica Is Folding Up And Filing For Bankruptcy

Following the scandal that saw Cambridge Analytica accused of mishandling the data of Facebook users, the company and SCL Elections are filing for bankruptcy.

The pronouncement comes after the firm has been accused globally of using Facebook data to target users during political campaigns accusations the firm still maintains are false.

LG just announced record earnings for its first three months of the year, making 1.11 trillion won ($1.03 billion) in profit off 15.12 trillion won ($14.1 billion) in revenue — the highest first-quarter figures in company history. The standout performer was LG’s home entertainment division, which reported a 76.5-percent increase in operating profit year on year, largely driven by the sale of high-end OLED and “Super UHD” LED 4K TVs. LG says it's seeing “rapid growth” in the premium TV market.

A notorious hub for the sharing of revenge porn called Anon-IB has been taken down by Dutch police raid.

The Police have arrested three Dutch nationals for stealing intimate images that they then shared on the site.

Servers containing stolen data were seized by the police as it investigated who had stolen the images.

A website accused of perpetrating over four million cyber-attacks across the globe, including attempts to crash banks in the UK, has been taken down in a major international investigation.

The operation, which involved the UK's National Crime Agency, blocked Webstresser.org, which allows criminals to buy attacks on businesses.

The website was used by a British suspect to launch attacks on high street banks last year, causing hundreds of thousands of pounds of damage.

On Tuesday, the music streaming platform announced it has redesigned its mobile app for non-paying Spotify users. It now features new tools previously only available to premium subscribers, such as new music discovery, personalization and low data mode. The move is part of an effort to attract more paying subscribers. Spotify said 60% of premium users began on the free service.
