The Italian Antitrust Authority has on Monday disclosed that it has fined American tech giant, Apple Inc. 10 million Euros ($12 million) for "aggressive and misleading" commercial practices regarding the iPhones. According to Reuters, the Italian regulatory agency made this known in a statement, saying the tech company advertised some iPhone models to be water-resistant when in the real sense the phones do not work underwater.

The authority also said the disclaimer by the tech company, stating that phone warranty did not include cases of damages from liquids, deceives customers who are not provided with support when their phones are damaged by water or other liquids.
