NITDA,Huwawei Sign MoU on Digital Job Creation in Nigeria

The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and China’s Huawei Information Communication Technology (ICT) Academy in Abuja signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the creation of digital jobs in Nigeria.

 

The MoU was signed on 4th July, 2019 during the 2018-2019 Huawei Nigeria ICT Competition Award and the 2019-2020 Launching Ceremony, where Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, Director-General (DG) NITDA represented the Federal Government while Huawei was represented by Mr Tank Li, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) Huawei Nigeria Enterprise Business.

Pantami stressed that the partnership is aimed at building the capacity of Nigerian youths, women, children, and people living with disabilities through NITDA, as the sole IT regulatory body in the country.

Also in his remarks, Mr Li disclosed that Huawei seeks to help in developing ICT talents in order to enhance Nigeria’s digital ecosystem.
