ON Tuesday British parliament’s Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee invited Mark Zukerberg, Facebook’s founder and CEO to answer questions about Trump consultant Cambridge Analytica obtaining more than 50 million user’s data. The founder has been sent a formal request to testify on the privacy failure.

Apple is reportedly working on a new type of LED display in a secret facility in California, Bloomberg reported on Monday. It looks like Apple is already preparing to move on from OLED, with reports this week indicating that the company is already working on developing MicroLED screens.

Russian fitness fanatics Oleg Fomenko and Anton Derlyatka have come up with a free app that turns your steps into digital currency.

The London-based pair, both in their 40s, realized the problem with getting people to exercise is the human tendency to prioritize immediate pleasure over long-term gain.

"We started talking about how we can use modern technology to give you instant gratification" for physical activity, Fomenko said.

In 2016, they founded Sweatcoin. The app pays users 0.95 sweatcoins for every 1,000 steps they take outdoors. That digital currency can be traded for fitness gear, giftcards and workout classes in the app's marketplace.

Amid the turmoil of the Cambridge Analytica data scandal, WhatsApp co-founder, Brian Acton, on Tuesday told his Twitter followers to delete Facebook.

"It is time. #deletefacebook," he wrote on the social media platform.

Acton has almost 21,000 Twitter followers.

Facebook acquired WhatsApp for $19 billion in 2014. Acton remained with the company for several years before quitting to start the Signal Foundation earlier this year. His WhatsApp co-founder, Jan Koum, still leads the company and sits on Facebook's board.

HTC Vive Pro the successor to HTC’s Vive is now available for pre-order. It goes on sale for $799 for the headset alone and shipping will begin April, 5, 2018. Once staunch rivals in high-end VR, it now seems Facebook-owned Oculus and HTC are treading different paths. While Oculus is gearing up to launch a more affordable standalone headset, HTC has gone in the opposite direction with the Vive Pro, a new top-of-the-range facehugger announced at this year's CES.

Microsoft made its Edge browser for iOS available to all iPhone users back in November, promising at the time that tablet support would arrive in the future. The software maker is now updating its Edge iOS preview app to include iPad support today Microsoft has scaled up the interface for the larger screen on the iPad, and features like “continue on PC” remain, alongside options to change from a light to a dark theme.
