An American tech giant Twitter company shortly after being taken over by Elon Musk, the new CEO has announced it will commence charging a monthly fee of $20 dollar as verification charges on its users. The announcement hit the public space barely 48hrs after the Tesla CEO took over the ownership of the company in a $44billion deal. According to the company, the monthly subscription is to form part of the premium services to be unveiled under the leadership of Elon Musk to guarantee users stay connected.

In a tweet yesterday, Musk hinted that “The whole verification process is being revamped right now.”

The tech giant also plans to raise its optional $ 4.99-a-month premium subscription called Twitter Blue to $19.99 per month, though it said it would be subject to change.

The existing verified users would be issued with 90days or lose their blue check mark after the lunch of twittering blue.

Speaking through an American technology website, Musk directed his engineers to conclude the building of paid verification system by next week or get sacked.

Elon Musk made a headline on Friday 28th October 2022 after sealing the deal on Twitter to emerge as the new CEO of the American tech giant.
