Blessing Okagbere Recognizes By Guinness Book Of World Records

Nigerian athlete Blessing Okagbere has been recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the only athlete to have attended the Athletics Diamond Meetings for the 67th time. The 32- years old shared her achievement via her social media handle on Wednesday morning. “A dream made reality through God’s grace and determination.

“Look what finally came in the mail.

“Thanks to Guinness book of world records, I am indeed honoured, proud and grateful.”

The certificate reads: “The most appearance in Diamond League meetings by an athlete is 67 and was achieved by Blessing Okagbere (Nigeria) between 3 July 2010 August 2018”.The certificate was branded ‘OFFICIALLY AMAZING’.

Okagbere, who last weekend set two personal indoor records at the Doyle Sports Management Meeting, won an Olympic silver medal at the 2008 Games at a 19-years old in Long Jump.

She has also won a World Championship Silver, and currently African Record holder in the 200m and 4x200m with Nigerian team.
