Floyd Mayweather on Sunday stopped Conor McGregor in the 10th round of their Las Vegas extravaganza, extending his record breaking boxing career to 50-0. McGregor, 29-year-old professional martial arts was tough and quick in the early stage of the fight, winning the first three rounds before he was outclassed by the vastly experienced Mayweather.

After three rounds, McGregor faded and was pummeled by a barrage of unanswered punches forcing the referee, Robert Bryd to end the fight.

Speaking after the encounter, McGregor said;

"I would have liked the ref to let me keep going. I was a little fatigued, early on I thought it was handy, I have to give it to him, that’s what 50 pro fights will do for you. I’ve been strangled on live TV and came back" he added

He described Mayweather as composed but claimed that he was not too fast or powerful as widely reported. "He’s composed, he’s not that fast, he’s not that powerful, but boy is composed in there.”

Meanwhile, Mayweather has announced his retirement after the match.
