Ukrainian Boxing star, Oleksandr Usyk has arrived in the United Kingdom (UK) for his upcoming boxing match against the World Heavyweight Champion, Anthony Joshua. The Ukrainian is expected to fight against Joshua on Saturday; Usyk has not yet suffered a defeat during his professional career. Joshua’s World Boxing Association and International Boxing Federation titles are on the line if the Ukrainian wins his fight against Joshua.

The 34-year-old Ukrainian was the world’s undisputed cruiserweight champion before moving up to the heavyweight division in 2018.

When asked about his form, Usyk jokingly said, “The form you’re going to see, because I’m not wearing it now.”

Meanwhile, according to Joshua, “When Evander Holyfield came up to heavyweight I think he had six fights at heavyweight before he fought for the championship belt.

“Usyk’s fought two heavyweights. He’s jumping in at the deep end early on. But good luck to him-he must believe in himself. He wants to be at the top end early. It is better to swim deep- get in there and get on with it – rather than tread water.”

If Joshua beats Usyk, boxing fans will look forward to an all-British heavyweight clash against Tyson Fury. But this would also be dependent on Fury successfully defending his World Boxing Council title against Deontay Wilder on October 9.
