The home-based Super Eagles on Thursday defeated Benin Republic at the Cape Coast Stadium in Ghana to qualify for the West Africa Football Union (WAFU) Cup of Nations final. The home-based Eagles scored the only goal of the match in the first half after a superb finish by Kano Pillar's Rabiu Ali.


Completesports reports that the Nigerian team would now confront the winner of the encounter between Ghana and Niger Republic on Sunday.


Meanwhile, the home-based Super Eagles had earlier eliminated Benin to qualify for the 2018 African Cup of Nations Championship (CHAN) after a 2-1 aggregate win.
