The following players were nominated for the award, such players are Kevin De, Bukayo Saka of Arsenal, and Harry Kane among others.

The City hitman recorded 36 goals to his name in the English Premier League campaign, and emerge victorious for the well-deserved Premier  League Player of the Year award.

He is now the fourth player to win the Man City Player of the Year award, following Kevin De Bruyne, who won the award in 2019/20 and 2021/22, Ruben Dias, who won it in 2020/21, and Vincent Kompany, who was the first to win it in 2011/12.

He emerged as the winner of the award through a combination of public votes, the votes of the 20 club captains, and the opinions of a panel of football experts.

In his words, “I am honored to have become the first player to win both awards in the same season – thank you to everyone who voted for me," he said.

“It has been an incredible first season in the Premier League and lifting the trophy last weekend in front of our fans at the Etihad was a very special moment for me.

“These awards would not have been possible without my amazing teammates, the manager, and all of the staff at the club who help me perform on the pitch. Now we have two more finals to go and we want to finish the season strong.”
