Barcelona has announced they are suing the forward for a breach of contract. Barca believes they are owed €8.5m that he was paid as a loyalty bonus. The club has filed a suit to the Spanish Football Federation and is demanding payment from Neymar.

Neymar sealed a stunning world record move to PSG earlier this month.

PSG paid £198m for the 25-year-old - more than double the previous transfer record.

He has already scored three goals in two matches since arriving in Paris and is expected to take them to the next level.

The lawsuit was first filed on August 11,before Neymar's comments hitting out at the board last weekend.

“I spent four beautiful years there and parted happy," said the 25-year-old. "But with them (the board), no.

"For me, they are not the people who should be there, for the direction of Barca. Barca deserve much better."

Neymar said those in charge should not be at the club following his double on his home debut for PSG.
