I Hope To Play At Stamford Bridge Again – Werner Bids Farewell

Heading back to his former club, RB Leipzig after completing his deal, Timo Werner is already missing Stamford Bridge where he experienced a tough period of his football career. Werner has today sealed a deal of going back to Leipzig for a deal of £25million after completing a medical. Some commentators opined that the departure of the German international has brought an end to his boring two years at the London Club where he was signed in for a whooping £47.5million during the year 2020.

In his farewell letter on his social media page, he wrote, ‘Dear Blues, Today marks the end of my journey with Chelsea FC,’ ‘I am incredibly grateful for the time I spent at this special club.

The German forward added, ‘At this point, I would like to express my appreciation for my teammates, the coaches & staff, and especially for you, the special supporters of Chelsea Football Club.

According to him, he felt so much love while playing for the club during his two years stay, recalling how they stood by him during all the challenging periods.

He recalled, ‘We lifted trophies like the Champions League together and I will always remember the song you wrote and chanted for me. I’m already looking forward to hopefully playing at Stamford Bridge again one day!

‘See you soon, Timo.’ He concluded.
