Despite snatching one of their best players this summer, Paris Saint Germain (PSG) on Wednesday night trolled the Catalans after they were beaten 2-0 by Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup. During the encounter, PSG's English verified Twitter account posted a picture of Neymar laughing, accompanied by an excited emoji that was apparently expressing joy.

While the Tweet could be open to various interpretations, coming at the time when the Catalans were being defeated in the hands of their bitter rivals leaves very little to imagination.

Recall that Neymar's transfer to PSG was strongly opposed by Barcelona. After the player indicated interest to leave, Barcelona insisted that the release clause be paid in full. The Spanish Football Association was also reported to have attempted to foil the move.

No doubt, Neymar's absence may have contributed to Barcelona's fall. Recall that the Brazilian contributed enormously to the historic comeback against PSG in the Champions League last season. Bookmakers opined that the presence of Neymar could have influenced the game. Barcelona have now lost two matches since the exit of Neymar.
