Bayern Munich collapsed from 2-0 up as Borussia Monchengladbach produced a stunning comeback at home to finish the game 3- 2, handing Bayern their first Bundesliga loss since September and thus keeping the German Bundesliga title race open.

Bayern could not capitalise on the two goals by Robert Lewandowski's (penalty) and Leon Goretzka in the first 26 minutes and was punished just before half-time as Jonas Hofmann scored twice to leave the game level at the break. Four minutes into the second half, Florian Neuhaus completed the comeback and Gladbach defended the lead for the remainder of the game, in the process handing Bayern Munich their first Bundesliga loss since September away at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.

With this defeat, RasenBallsport Leipzig can overtake Bayern at the summit if they can defeat fourth-placed Borussia Dortmund at the Red Bull Arena.
