Liver pool Manager, Jurgen Klopp and his Manchester City counterpart, Pep Guardiola, have kicked against the Premiere League new rule to revert substitute from five to three. Accordingly, five substitutes were the rule initially when matches resumed after the coronavirus pandemic to deal with the frantic schedules. Although other leagues have continued on that lane, but the English football Association decides to revert back to three against FIFA’s approval for the five until August 2021. The Premiere League throws its weight behind the fact that clubs with larger squad will be favoured as against otherwise.

Klopp opined that the Premiere League has showcased its poor leadership decision with such draconian advice.

In his statement, “None of the top seven clubs asked for any advantage. We just knew because we knew our schedule, that it would be incredibly difficult. To have the best games at the weekend in the Premier League, it would have helped that as well. I think we should think about it again,”

In a similar manner yesterday, Guardiola queued behind Klopp thought saying there have been “47 percent more muscular injuries” this year compared to the same stage of the campaign in 2019-20.

He said it makes no sense “The statistics speak for themselves. The players are not recovering from the previous game, even the previous season.

He queried, “Who voted for the decisions? Who are they? They have to protect the players. They have to decide. The law is acceptable for FIFA, UEFA,”
