Marco Rues, Borussia Dortmund captain has revealed that players in the German top-flight are not lab rats that should be tested as the Bundesliga is set for its return today.

Rues is optimistic to lead Dortmund to victory when they host Schalke on Saturday afternoon also said he is feeling great as he is returning the field.

However, he added caution must be exercised in the present circumstance as over 175,000 Germans were tested positive for the coronavirus.

Bundesliga has been suspended in the last two months due to the pervasive spread of the COVID-19 across the world.

Rues told El Pais, “Players are no lab rats that are tested,”

“It was the only possibility.

There is no reason to complain.

“The coronavirus has turned lives upside down.

The whole world has been and will continue to be challenged.

“We must not become careless now.

We have to listen to the instructions of the politicians and the virologists responsibly.”
