The President of the Nigerian Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick has rolled out some conditions that must be fulfilled by the Super Eagle Coach, Gernot Rhor before his contract renewal would be considered.

Speaking on the breakfast program on Arise TV, Pinnick said, ‘we have told him (Rhor) that he must be ready to live in Nigeria and that his salary must be paid in Naira, and be able to go round League venues and see how he can improve on some.

Until he accepts this, then we have a deal.

Pinnick further stated, “We will seek legal opinions on international coaches’ contracts.

We shall also seek the opinion of the Sports Ministry.

He should get the contract (with the new conditions) in about a week’s time so that he can revert after studying it.”

The NFF president has lauded the effort of the Federal Government in the fight against the COVID-19, saying he has been keeping in touch with our international players and they are doing fine.

He said in his own part, the NFF he said is working in close contact with some stakeholders and taking a cue from the (World football-governing body) FIFA to intervene in certain areas.

“As an individual, I have a foundation by the name Brownhill Foundation, which has taken measures to support what the Government is doing, but we don’t want to talk about this.

We are doing what we can in the Delta and Lagos States and some other places.”

Pinnick stated that; “There is also the AITEO/NFF Awards (in its third edition).

This year’s edition is meant to celebrate the Super Falcons.

We have plans to celebrate them but we don’t know how to go about it.

So, we will sit down with our sponsors to figure things out.”
