Manchester United fans are planning to walk out in the 68th minute during their upcoming Premier League clash against Wolves in protest at the club’s ownership. Saturday’s fixture pits Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s fifth place side against Wolves in seventh, with both teams on 34 points after 24 matches.

According to talksports.com, a win for United would open a gap between them and their Midlands opponents, and could see them end the weekend only three points behind the top four.

But a host of Man United supporters may not be at Old Trafford to witness a potentially valuable win for the Red Devils, with a mass walkout being organised.

Protesters are being urged to leave the match during the 68th minute to show their frustrations at much-maligned owners the Glazers, as well as executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward.

The walkout is being planned to take place exactly 10 minutes after supporters show their respect in recognition of the 1958 Munich air disaster, with applause expected in the 58th minute.

It remains to be seen just how many supporters join in the protest and walk out of Old Trafford, but talkSPORT hosts Alan Brazil and Ally McCoist say NO ONE should leave the stadium before the match is over.

Discussing the reported walkout on Friday’s Sports Breakfast, Brazil made it clear he opposes the planned protest.

The former United striker said: “It’s a big game this for Manchester United against Wolves – they can still finish fourth. I’m sorry guys but I’m totally against this.”

Ex-Rangers player and manager McCoist added: “You’ve got to respect their right to protest, but it’s not helping the side, who have still got a chance of qualification for the Champions League.”

Neil Warnock, the former Cardiff manager, joined Alan and Ally in the studio on Friday morning, and also had his say on the topic.

“Sometimes these things take over people’s lives. It’s not just a one-off, it’s organised and has been going on for years instead of just getting on with the job. There are no perfect owners, are there? Everybody has a grievance about something. A club like Manchester United shouldn’t be walking out after 68 minutes, should they?”
