AFCON 2019: Ignore Algeria, Kick Tunisia For Us – Coaches To Super Eagle

Some coaches in Abuja have opined that the Team chief coach, Garnet Rohr should re-strategize his team for a win against Tunisia instead of thinking about the Sunday’s loss to Algeria.

 

The coaches disclosed this in a separates interview with newsmen saying that instead, the team should prepare for Wednesday victory to serve as a reward for our hard work players.

 

They, however, enjoined the Super Eagles not to be discouraged by the 1-2 loss at Cairo in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) semi-finals.

 

The Super Eagles, after the loss to Desert Warriors of Algeria on Sunday, will now collide with the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia on Wednesday in the competition’s for third-place on Wednesday.

 

Godwin Bamigboye the FCT Chapter Chairman of Nigeria Football Coaches Association (NFCA) said “The third-place match must end with a win in favour of Nigeria, and the Super Eagles must come back home with that bronze medals.

 

He added, Rohr and his technical crew colleagues need to reinforce the team for the third-place match.
they must emerge victorious for that third place match so that it will give the team the sign of relieve for their hard work.

 

Akinade Onigbinde, the coach of FRSC Football Club of Abuja, in his opinion said that though the loss was a great disappointment to football lovers in the country, however, he still rates the Eagles as good.

 

“The Eagles have a very good set of players but Rohr did a wrong substitution and the tactics for the game were faulty.

 

“But now they need to forget what happened on Sunday night and move on. They should strategize for the next match which must be a win-at-all-cost the coach added.
