Stephen Curry has scored a record career-high 62 points as his Golden State Warriors beat the Portland Trailblazers 137-122 in San Francisco on Sunday. After Kobe Bryant at 37, the 32-year-old has now become the second-oldest player to score over 60 points in a game beating his previous best performance of 54 points against the New York Knicks in February 2013.

The NBA games which are currently being played behind closed doors because of the COVID-19 pandemic, experienced a 50-point night, the first of the season, while the 60-pointer was the first for a Warrior since Klay Thompson had 60 in 2016.

In other games, LeBron James scored 22 points as the Los Angeles Lakers claimed a late 108-94 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies, Los Angeles Clippers ended the Phoenix Suns' four-match winning streak with a 112-107 win, while Jayson Tatum secured a 122-120 victory for the Boston Celtics over the Detroit Pistons with fewer than three seconds to go.
