Nestle Nigeria Plc has kicked off the 21st edition of its Milo Basketball Championship. The Managing Director, Nestle Nigeria, Mauricio Alarcon made this announcement while briefing press men on Thursday at its headquarters in Ilupeju, Lagos.

He said the nationwide competition is aimed at contributing to the healthier future of children through sports activities, adding that Nestle provides a platform that encourages children to be confident, to overcome fear and to possess the ability to develop teamwork and leadership skills.

Alarcon also thanked the Nigeria School Sports Federation (NSSF), the Nigeria Collegiate Sports Federation (NCSF), and the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) for their support.

According to NAN, this year's competition will commence with the Conference stage; Savannah Conference will take place between 3rd and 8th May in Bauchi State, Central Conference to hold between 10th to 15 May in Minna, Niger State.

The Equatorial Conference will hold between 17th and 22nd May in Enugu State, Western Conference will hold between 24th and 29 May in Ibadan, Oyo State.

Meanwhile, the National Finals will hold between June 27th and July 4th, at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos.
