Olivier Giroud, Chelsea's new striker has revealed some of the sterling qualities he appreciates in his new Manager, Antonio Conte.The France International who joined Chelsea on deadline day was asked what he likes about Conte and he replied  “I don’t know him very well obviously but I like the positive energy he brings to the pitch.


“He’s always supporting his players, talking to them. Communication is massive in football, for me the relationship with the coach is very important.


“Tactically, he is obviously very good because he’s Italian – Chelsea is a strong team defensively and quite efficient up front with great players. I think I will enjoy it.”


Giroud who has been handed the No.18 shirt at Stanford Bridge joined Chelsea for a fee reported to be in the region of £18million. He watched the Chelsea match against Bournemouth from the stands on Wednesday evening.


Chelsea were thrashed 0-3 and are now 18 points behind league leaders.
