Contrary to recent reports that Mercy Aigbe and her husband, Lanre Gentry may have reconciled their differences and could be reunited, Lanre has taken a swipe at her in his latest post on Instagram, subtly describing her as a prostitute.  Recall that this month, Mercy started following her husband on Instagram and other social media platforms after unfollowing him earlier. The development sparked fresh rumour that the estranged couples could be working their ways to reunion.

Mali’s army said on Saturday it had killed 14 jihadist suspects who were trying to escape detention in its central region, the latest in a string of killings by the armed forces that have provoked condemnation from rights groups. Fourteen suspected jihadists were killed on Saturday during an alleged “escape attempt,” a day after they were taken in for questioning, the Malian army said in a statement.

Aggrieved workers in the autonomous Kurdish region of northern Iraq, including teachers and doctors, on Thursday protested against austerity measures and salary delays for a fifth consecutive day. Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), also known as Doctors Without Borders has set up a cholera treatment center in the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital Bauchi to manage the rising number of cases in the state. According to Vanguard, the 70-bed capacity treatment center, which was established on 19th March, 2018, has admitted 243 cholera patients within its first 10 days of operation.

American Rapper DMX real name Earl Simmons has been sentenced to one year in prison for tax fraud on Wednesday, 27th of March. According to Billboard, Federal Judge Jed Rakoff played the song “Slippin” in court at the rapper’s request. DMX who plead guilty last year for tax-evasion charges had engaged in a multi-year scheme to avoid paying $1.7 million in taxes, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office of the Southern District of New York.
