President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday marked the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations with members of the NYSC in Daura. The corps members had paid the President a visit after the Eid prayers at his Daura residence.

In a series of tweets regarding the visit, Buhari said “one of the highlights of my Eid-el-Kabir celebrations in Daura is the visit from NYSC members, after the prayers.

“I am always pleased to see Corps members in Daura and other parts of Nigeria. From the postings, we get to learn more about other cultures,” he enthused.

“I remain convinced that the NYSC offers a great opportunity to learn a lot about the diversity that has made Nigeria a unique country.”

He also recounted how serving as an Army Officer in Lagos and Ibadan offered him “fulfilling experiences” and expressed his conviction that “the NYSC offers a great opportunity to learn a lot about the diversity that has made Nigeria a unique country.”

Earlier in his Sallah message, President Buhari appealed for Nigerians to “see ourselves as brothers and sisters from the same heritage,” assuring that “as a Government, we will not let you down.”

The President traveled to Daura in Katsina State on Wednesday for Sallah celebrations, shortly after presiding over his first FEC meeting is nearly four months. He is expected back to Abuja on Monday.
