President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the reappointment of Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye as the Director General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) with effect from December 1, 2022.

Her reappointment was made known on Friday via the Agency’s official Twitter handle which stated that she has been reappointed for “the second and final tenure of five years”.

In November 2017, Prof. Adeyeye was first appointed by President Buhari as the Agency’s DG but on November 3, 2022, her first tenure of 5 years ended, and NAFDAC’s Director of Drug Registration and Regulatory Affairs Directorate, Dr. Monica Eimunjeze took over as the Acting DG of NAFDAC.
