Bauchi State Governor Appoints New Chief Of Staff

Following the dissolution of the entire cabinet of Bauchi State and the sack of political appointees on Wednesday, the governor, Bala Mohammed has appointed Aminu Gamawa as the new Chief of Staff, Government House, Bauchi. The appointment was disclosed in a statement by the Special Adviser to the governor on Media and Publicity, Mr. Mukhtar Gidado on Monday in Bauchi.


According to the statement, Gamawa will replace Ldan Salihu who was sacked alongside other political appointees including the Secretary to the State Government, and Commissioners.


The new Chief of Staff was the former Commissioner, Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning.


“Gamawa worked across a wide range of organisations, government agencies, educational institutions and non–profitable entities.


“He is the Chairman, Bauchi State COVID-19 Economic Recovery Committee 2020, and Vice Chairman, World Bank States Fiscal Transparency, Accountability and Sustainability (SFTAS) in the state,” Gidado said.
