The Nigerian Senate on Tuesday passed the Compulsory Treatment and Care of Victims of Gunshots Bill, which seeks to compel hospitals to treat persons with gunshot wounds.

The Borno Police Command of the Nigeria Police said it had deployed 3,000 men to Maiduguri and other areas liberated from the Boko Haram insurgents. Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the State, ASP Victor Isuzu, disclosed this in an interview in Maiduguri.
