Officials of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ebonyi State Command on Thursday intercepted a suspected child-trafficker with 14 children in the state.  The Command made this known in a statement posted on its official Facebook page. The statement also had pictures and video of the incident attached to it.

The statement hinted that the eagle-eyed operatives on routine patrol intercepted a black colored Toyota Sienna with Plate Number GDD 252 YD on the highway and immediately commenced an investigation into the matter. The operatives became suspicious following the inability of the suspect, a middle aged man to explain the relationship he had with the children and where he was taking them to.

The post read “Video of the intercepted Black Toyota Sienna with plate number GDD252YD, overloaded with 14 (Under-aged) children suspected of child trafficking. The case has been handed over to police for further investigation.”

The Corps advised parents and guardians to be vigilant as human traffickers were on the prowl looking for children to abduct.
