The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) is scheduled to meet in Abuja on Wednesday, January 19 to discuss critical national issues. The NGF Chairman and Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi has invited all state governors to “a very crucial meeting where pressing national concerns will be discussed.”

This was made known on Saturday in a statement signed by Head, Media, and Public Affairs, NGF Secretariat, Abdulrazaque Bello-Barkindo.

According to the statement, this would be the first meeting of the forum in 2022 and it would be in-person as opposed to a virtual meeting.

The statement reads in part, “To also feature prominently are the intervention programs such as the regular updates from the Nigeria Governors’ Forum State Fiscal Transparency, Accountability and Sustainability (SFTAS) team and another one on Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economy Security (CARES), as well as a few presentations.”

The NGF spokesperson disclosed that the meeting would commence at 8 pm on January 19 at the NGF Secretariat in Abuja.

He also said that the NGF Chairman accompanied by all the governors would address a press conference after the meeting.
