APC Inaugurate Bulama As Its New Acting National Secretary

After a long political move and consultation, Waziri Bulama has on Monday been inaugurated as the new acting National Secretary of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

 

There has been a lot of calculation and moves from the party cabals since the office of the National secretary become vacant in the ruling party when its secretary, Mai Mala Buni resigned to join the race and become the Governor of Yobe state.

Bulama’s candidature was greeted with resistance by some group in the caucus of the APC lead by the National Vice Chairman (North-east), Mustapha Salihu.

The swearing-in of Waziri Bulama was inaugurated at the national secretariat of the APC by its National Chairman Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.

The Governors of Borno state and his Gombe counterpart also graced the occasion.

However, there was a mild drama just before the inauguration when Mustapha, the North-east Vice-Chairman insisted that the inauguration be stopped.

Mustapha excused Journalist to allow them to sort out some things before they will resume.

The meeting lasted for about 30 minutes.

During the inauguration, Oshiomhole revealed Bulama was inaugurated as the acting secretary pending the ratification by the national convention.

Oshiomhole disclosed most major stakeholders like President Buhari, Mai Mala Buni, among others were duly consulted before taking the decision.

On the sideline, the Gombe State Governor Mohammed Inuwa said he has known Bulama for over forty years, assuring that he will add value to the leadership of the party.

Responding to a journalist, the new national secretary disclosed he has no agenda of his own, but promised to work with the other party executives to take the party to the next level.
