A strong figurehead in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo state who is also an acting Chairman of, Fiscal Responsibility Commission (FRC), Chief Victor Muruako, has cross carpeted to the All Progressive Congress, APC.

The former PDP stalwart joined the ruling party alongside hundreds of grassroots supporters in Ihiagwa ward, Owerri West Local government Area.

He was officially received at the APC state Secretariat, Owerri by the party’s state deputy chairman, Ugochukwu Nzekwe.

Muruako disclosed that he dumped the PDP for the first time since he joined the PDP on June 16 1998.

He revealed that he decided to join the APC because of Governor Uzodinma political enigma of wanting to carry everybody along, saying since the governor came on board; he has never discriminated against any person.

Recall that shortly after the pronouncement of Senator Hope Uzodinma as the state Governor of Imo state while sacking, Emeka Ihedioha, the state Chairman of the PDP in the state, Charles Ezekwem and many of the legislators elected on the platform of the PDP had dumped that party to join the moving train.

Muruako added, “Even those we worked for (during the elections) did not take us as serious as Governor Hope Uzodinma is taking us now.

It is my promise to you that we won’t use this broom to oppress people but to bring development and prosperity to our people,”

He expressed his readiness to join hand with the Governor and move the state to the state to a greater height.
