Uche Nwosu Congratulates Hope Uzodinma, States Why

Former governorship candidate of the Action Alliance, AA, Uche Nwosu, has reacted to the Supreme Court judgement that declared Hope Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress, APC, winner of the 2019 governorship election in the State.

Nwosu, a former Chief of Staff to Imo state government, congratulated Uzodinma on his victory, stressing that his congratulatory message was in fulfillment of his earlier promise. 

 

Nwosu who took to his Facebook page to post his message wrote;

 

“l, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu wish to congratulate His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodinma over his victory at the Supreme court today being Tuesday January 14, 2020 which declared him the new governor of our dear state"

 

“I had earlier assured that whoever wins at the Supreme Court would have my unflinching support. And luckily enough, it is my brother and a member of my party A.P.C. Senator Hope Uzodinma who won at the Supreme Court. He has my total support.

 

“Once again, congratulations His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodinma (Onwa)“

 

The Supreme Court had on Tuesday said Uzodinma was the rightful winner of the Imo state governorship election. The court directed the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to retrieve the Certificate of Return from Ihedioha and give it to the APC candidate

 

Earlier before the judgement Nwosu withdrew his appeal at the supreme following his disqualification for double nomination and pledged to support anyone who wins at the Apex court.
